I told him I like him but now I have regrets?

If this is/was the ONLY way of "talking" to him, you really had NO choice but to do it the way you did! I wouldn't be upset over what you did tho. Now the ball is in his court so to speak, it's up to him to see if he returns it or not so to speak. I feel you did nothing wrong tho, he has NO reason to be angry with you for what you did. IF it's meant to be it will be. If not, then at least you'll know for sure as to what to do in the future. Hope for your sake he'll throw the ball back to you & you'll hook up with him.
