Why does the guy I like still sticking around after my grandma chewed him out?

Yesterday I had my two girl friends over for a halloween sleepover and I also invited the guy I liked. I told my mum about it saying that he probably will come after he's done going to a halloween party with his friends, well he came at my house at 12 and my two girl friends slept on the floor while me and him slept in my bed. I was really happy at the moment cause one time he turned toward me and cuddled with me. Then around 5am I got up and told my gma that he was here and I told her where everyone was sleeping n she went off saying how he's not decent and just really rude nasty things, she woke my uncle up and made him take him home, I was so upset and still feel that way. I texted him after all of it saying "im so sorry, i understand if u would never wanna c me again, and it sucks cause i really like you" and he texted me back saying "hey its cool, don't worry about it". Why would he be cool with it?
