Well im trying to rent a apartment but i dont knw the requirements needed to rent one.. please help!!!?

im currently 19 years old and i have never rented anything in my life.. i guess you could say i dont have any credit history either.. and the city that i plan to move to is sacramento ca. but i dont have any family memebers that can help me.. like a co signer etc.. i just plan to go to school and work thats why i want a apartment.. would i be able to rent one or what? what are they going to tell me or what am i going to have to do to qualify and get one.. please help!!
