Can/could paradoxes destroy machines?

Not likely, nearly all API's (Application Program Interface) have systems to avoid this and if it did happen and the software wasn't capable of handling the situation properly you would only get a critical error and a force shut down of the application or if it was in your OS than a force shutdown of your computer.
